Tech joint Google will have to pay a fine of more than 65 crores to the US government due to one of its mistakes. Actually, the company had run a false advertisement regarding the Pixel 4 smartphone in Texas. For this, the Texas Attorney General’s Office along with the Federal Government had filed a lawsuit against the company. Now in this case Google will pay 8 million dollars to the government.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton’s office accused Google that the company hired two radio announcers in the state and made them falsely advertise the Pixel 4 smartphone. The company did not allow the announcers to use smartphones and did written testimonials on air, which is against the market rules. Attorney General Ken Paxton said that if the company has to do business in Texas, it has to tell the truth to the people. If they run false aids then action will be taken against them.

On this matter, Google’s spokesperson Jose Castaneda said that the company takes advertising laws seriously and we will follow the order given on this issue.

Let us tell you that Google is not the only company that is tricking customers in this way. Earlier, action has also been taken against Samsung and Huawei who were advertising the DSLR photos as mobile photos. Apart from false advertising, Google has already been sued by the Texas Attorney General and the Federal Government regarding face data collection.
